Palmer Events Center to Host DIR Information Security Forum, IIEX North America, and More in April

AUSTIN, Texas – The Palmer Events Center will host 14 events during the month of April, including the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) Information Security Forum, Insight Innovation Exchange (IIEX) North America, and three private events, among others.

The 2024 DIR Information Security Forum takes place at the Palmer Events Center April 2-3. The two-day event, open to all levels of Texas government IT and security professionals, features multiple educational tracks and breakout sessions and is free to attend.

The 2024 Statesman Cap 10K Expo takes place at the Palmer Events Center April 5-6, where runners will pick up their race packets and have an opportunity to check out race merchandise and the latest running footwear, apparel, nutrition, technology, and more. The Expo is open from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 5 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 6.

IDEA Public School 2024 College Signing Day takes place at the Palmer Events Center on April 9, where students will reveal their college decisions in front of friends, family, and classmates.

Taking place at the Palmer Events Center April 12-13 is Texas Linux Fest, the first state-wide annual community-run conference for Linux and open-source software users and enthusiasts from across the state of Texas.

The Austin ISD Teacher Career Fair takes place at the Palmer Events Center on April 13, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet campus principals, make connections, and learn what it means to call Austin ISD home.

The 5 Star Barber & Beauty Expo takes place at the Palmer Events Center on April 14, featuring networking opportunities, barber and beauty competitions, and industry-specific vendors.

IIEX North America 2024 takes place at the Palmer Events Center April 17-18, where attendees can discover groundbreaking ideas, engage in lively roundtables, and participate in hands-on demos as they explore the latest technologies, methodologies, and trends that are shaping the future of insights.

The Starpower National Talent Competition takes place at the Palmer Events Center April 20-21. Starpower is a dance competition for performers of all ages and levels to showcase their talents.

The 2024 Texas ASLA (American Society of Landscape Architects) Annual Conference takes place at the Palmer Events Center April 24-26, featuring educational sessions, networking opportunities, and more for landscape architects.

The Texas Roller Derby returns to the Palmer Events Center on April 27, featuring a bout of banked track roller derby, equal parts sport and entertainment.

On April 28, Austin Witchfest 2024 comes to the Palmer Events Center to close out the month of April.
